Winthrop students, faculty and staff can now request articles and book chapters from Dacus and other PASCAL member institutions directly through OneSearch! Follow the instructions below or contact the library for more information.
Go to the library's homepage and click the Library Account Icon:
Use your Winthrop credentials to log in to the library's catalog:
Clicking the magnifying glass at the right end of the search box will allow you to scope your search. If you are looking for a specific book or journal to request an excerpt, you may want to scope to Dacus Library or PASCAL Libraries; otherwise, select the default "Books, articles, and more" search:
For quicker access, simply enter your search criteria in the default search box on the front page:
Click on the title you would like to request:
If the item is available for digitization, you will see the option displayed in the record. Click on the "digitization" link to request a brief excerpt from this title:
Complete the request form. You must indicate either a chapter title or exact page numbers. If you need either a large portion or the entire book, please select "Request" and we will hold the physical copy for you at the User Services desk. If you are an online student, you can request Personal Delivery.
When you have completed the form, accept the copyright compliance statement and click the green "Send Digitization Request" button. You will receive a notice in your Winthrop e-mail account when your file is available!
Items from many PASCAL libraries are also available for digitization. Follow the steps above. If the title is available from another participating institution, you will se the following icon in the "Request" portion of the record:
