  • Check out all library materials, including reserves, textbooks, and Music Library items.
  • Pick up requested items, including Dacus materials, Inter-Library Loan and PASCAL Delivers books, and laptops
  • Get help finding materials and locations in the library, and with navigating the library's catalog and website
  • Find out how to connect with our Reference librarians for help with your research projects and assignments.

Library Lost & Found

Dacus Library Lost & Found

The library’s Lost & Found is located at the User Services Desk on the main floor. If you believe you have left personal belongings in the library, please call 803-323-4501 or stop by the User Services desk.

Dacus Library will hold most personal items until the end of the semester. Items not retrieved will be discarded, donated, or routed to the appropriate campus office. These offices, including Campus Police, will retain, release, or discard items in accordance with their own policies, which may differ from those of the library.

Exceptions to this retention schedule include:

  • Credit cards, wallets, and other items which present a substantial risk for theft or fraud.
  • Car keys
  • Cell phones, laptops, cameras, and other devices.

These items will be secured immediately and taken to Campus Police if not claimed by close of business.

  • Assistive Technology and Devices: staff will immediately secure these items. If the owner cannot be contacted, we will notify the Accessibility Office prior to sending the device to Campus Police.

Dacus Library will attempt to contact patrons about IDs and other belongings containing identifying information; however, the library assumes no responsibility for any personal items left in the building.

Patrons who experience a theft while in the library should immediately come to the User Services desk and we will notify Campus Police.
