The Friends of Dacus Library invite you to our Fall Festival in McBryde Hall on Wednesday October 1, 2008, 2-6pm including the following events:

  • Antique Road Show for Books: Jim Presgraves, antiquarian from Wytheville, Va., will appraise books brought by visitors from 4-6 p.m. in McBryde Hall. If you have ever wondered how much your treasures are worth on the antique book market, this is your chance to find out! To ensure everyone has their turn to have their book(s) appraised, each appraisal will be for three book per person at each time. Tickets will be numbered, and the appraiser will call out the number. Seating will be provided while you wait.
Tickets are $10 for each three books. To purchase tickets in advance, please make check payable to Friends of Dacus Library and send to Jim Johnston at 204 Life Sciences Building by Sept. 19. Additional walk-up tickets will be available at the door.
  • Silent Auction from 2-6 p.m. in Tuttle Dining Room. Free admission.
  • Winthrop Art Sale featuring works by faculty and students from 2-6 p.m. in McBryde. Free admission.
