Friends of Dacus Library: Home

Introduction

If you’re unfamiliar with the Friends of Dacus Library, it is a nonprofit public charity with members whose membership includes students, faculty, staff, alumni, community members, and organizations/businesses. They serve as important library advocates.

The purpose of the Friends is to promote an interest in the Library and Archives among students, faculty, staff, alumni and public; to provide a fuller understanding of the academic role of the Library and Archives in education; to encourage donations in support of Library and Archives materials and services; and to assist the Library and Archives in its educational mission through exhibits, programs, publications, and other means. Gifts to the Friends of Dacus Library will help the library acquire materials, technology, and other needed resources that could not be purchased otherwise.

I hope that you will join us in support of Dacus Library and Pettus Archives!

  • Build meaningful connections between the library and surrounding community
  • Support library collections, digital initiatives, and scholarly resources
  • Create engaging programming that highlights the library's unique offerings and services
