Introduction

World History

This Guide is designed to help you navigate print and electronic resources related to the history of the World (exclusive of the United States), including primarily Europe and to a lesser degree Latin American, Asia, and Africa.  By its nature such a guide is not comprehensive and should be used only as a starting point for research into the history of specific regions and/or countries. The roles played by the various ethic and racial groups in the general history of mankind are highlighted in these resources, as well as biographical information on many leading historical figures.  For sources related to the U.S. or to the state of South Carolina, then the Guides specific to them should be consulted.
