Online Catalog Tutorials: Introduction

Welcome to Dacus Library's Online Catalog Tutorials!

The purpose of these tutorials is to make navigating the library's catalog as easy as possible. We understand that using the library's catalog isn't always intuitive. That's why we have created two tutorials that we believe will help step you through the layout and functionality of the online catalog. These tutorials include some example searches and search tips as well. You'll find access to the following tutorials from the left side tabs.

We recommend going through the basic searching tutorial first before moving on to the advanced searching tutorial.

If you have any questions about using the online catalog, you may contact the Reference Department at 803/323-4501, visit the Information Commons Desk, send an email or submit a chat. For more in-depth assistance, you can book an appointment online with a librarian. Winthrop faculty can also schedule library instruction sessions for their classes by contacting the Reference Department.
