Online Students Library Orientation: Research Help

This guide is designed to help online students navigate library resources and services.

Library Chat

You can chat online with a librarian for any question you may have about research or about the library. The chat link is located in the lower right corner of our website. It looks like this:

Library Chat will be available during the following days and times:

  • Monday - Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM
  • Thursday: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Friday: 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Saturday: Closed
  • Sunday: 4:00 PM - 11:00 PM

View today's hours here.

Our Book-A-Librarian service provides one-on-one assistance for more in-depth research questions. Your scheduled meeting with a librarian can take place either in-person at the library, in-person at another location on campus, or online through screen sharing.

During a Book-A-Librarian session, we can help you:

  • navigate and locate library resources, such as finding articles in databases and searching for print and electronic materials in the library's catalog
  • find helpful citation resources
  • learn to use various software (check each librarian's profile for "technology skills")
  • learn introductory computer skills
