The first time you need to access the library's online resources (including eBooks) from off-campus, you will need to set up your library account.
You can find step-by-step instructions for setting up your library account on the "Off-Campus Access" tab of this guide.
Once your library account has been created, whenever you want to access the library's online resources you will simply be prompted to log-in with your username and password.
Now you are ready to start searching for eBooks. To locate eBooks that Dacus Library owns, the Dacus Online Catalog (DOC) is the first resource you should use. You can search the catalog using author, title, subject or keyword.
After performing this initial search, you will see some ways to filter your results in the left column. If there are any available eBooks in your search, you can click on the word "eBook", listed under the Format heading in the left column.
Select the eBook you want to view by clicking on the View eBook link shown under the title.
Ebooks are accessible from on and off campus, including with desktops, laptops, and internet-enabled mobile devices. If you are off-campus, you will be prompted to log-in before viewing the eBook.
ProQuest EBook Central
Users must setup a free account through ProQuest EBook Central in order to download the eBooks. The account must be set up from on-campus. If you are not able to come to campus to set up your account, please contact the library at 803-323-4501 for assistance.
EBSCO eBook Collection
