How the new OneSearch works:

Users have basic and advanced searching for all combined content. Search results default to print and online materials available in or through Dacus Library. It's easy to include results from other academic libraries in South Carolina and request books through PASCAL Delivers, the statewide rapid print delivery service. Searchers can opt to expand article results beyond Dacus Library's subscriptions. Researchers can also use traditional browse searches for library materials.

Key changes and benefits:

The new OneSearch discovery tool has some important differences from the previous Dacus Library Catalog.

Login

  • You will be able to log in to OneSearch using your Winthrop University email address and password. This will allow you to access full search results, see your library account information, and more.

Scopes

  • You can now more easily choose where and how much to search from within the search bar. You can choose to search only within Dacus Library's holdings, only search the Textbooks and Reserves collection, or search within all PASCAL libraries holdings. You can either use the drop down menu on the right ride of the search bar, or use the auto-fill function.

Integrated Requesting

  • You can now request PASCAL Delivers or InterLibrary Loan items (resources from other PASCAL libraries) from within the library record. When looking at a library record, click the "How to Get It" link, and choose either PASCAL Delivers or Clio to request items from other libraries.
