Library Orientation & Instruction

The instruction program is designed to acquaint patrons with the physical layout of the library and to introduce them to the facilities, services, and resources available to meet their information needs.

All Writing 101 classes come to the library for one session of instruction in the beginning stages of their research projects. The library faculty are also available to present lectures and demonstrations on the use of subject specific resources to undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and other patrons. To schedule a session, please contact the Research and User Services coordinator at least one week prior to the proposed date of the class. Students seeking research assistance may call 803-323-4501, e-mail, or IM/Chat or schedule a Book A Librarian appointment.

Research and User Services Coordinator: Cody Walters, 803-323-2311, waltersw@winthrop.edu
