Statistics concepts: Online catalog search terms

Searching the library catalog by Statistics is the most general way to start. You'll get a mix of books, films, and other materials from the library catalog.

This “Statistics” search is a good starting point, but it will yield too many results for most situations. You’ll a see variety of filtering options on your screen in the left column. Materials at Winthrop only is the automatic start - you can also broaden your results to include PASCAL libraries or even all libraries worldwide.

To further narrow down your search, simply pick any combination of filters from the left column: Format, authors, publication year (pick from pre-set ranges or enter your own range of years), language, and topic. Because Statistics pertains to so many research fields, the "Topic" filter lets you focus on your exactly needed area of statistical applications (for example "Business & Economics" or "Medicine").
